All change at Horncastle Lions Club
John Pooley has been named as the new president of Horncastle Lions Club, taking over from well-known businessman Alan Toon.
In his retiring speech, Alan, who completed a two-year term as president, thanked club members for their support.
John was brought up in Lincolnshire and returned to the county for semi-retirement after a successful career in medical engineering.
He formed his own company, designing and supplying blood recovery equipment for use in hospital operating theatres.
Graham Martin continues as treasurer, with Mark Carter and Philip Sharpe appointed as joint secretaries.
