Bardney WI

Members of the WI had an excellent May meeting when they were joined by Alexander and Mickey from the very recently-formed 1st Bardney Air Scouts.

Their enthusiasm was infectious and members learned how their journey through the Scout movement had enriched their own lives.

They were fascinated to hear of their trip to the 2015 World Scout Jamboree in Japan and to see the wonderful collection of badges, neckerchiefs and mementos from their visit.

Many of the WI members knew very little about Scouting and now appreciate the vast amount of opportunities it offers.

Good wishes went to all concerned in this new venture, which they are certain will make Bardney a better place for having yet another facility for young people.

The next WI meeting is in the Methodist Hall on Tuesday, June 7, at 7.30pm.

The speaker will be Mary Mackinder on the subject of optimal nutrition.

As always, visitors are welcome to attend two meetings free of charge to see if they would like to join this friendly group.
