March saw the annual meeting of Binbrook & District WI when it was a chance to review the past year and plan ahead for the next.

In the competitions, the overall winners for the year were Pat Robinson for flower of the month, with 23 points, and Barbara Pollard for the monthly competitions, with 20 points.

This month’s competition winner, of a WI memento, was Jenny Johnson, who recreated Cuthbert the Rabbit which was the first national craft item made by WI members during WW1.

At the next meeting, on Thursday April 7 in the village hall at 7.15pm, Annette Mackenzie and Boogie the Barn Owl will be visiting. Visitors welcome, admission £3.80. For more details call 01472 399501 or 399009.
