Sleaford Mayor to host charity 'poetry slam' contest

Sleaford’s mayor is raising money for her chosen charities for the year with a ‘Poetry Slam.’

Coun Linda Edwards-Shea will be hosting the fun knockout contest, open to all ages, at Sleaford’s Playhouse Theatre on February 25 starting at 7.30pmSend three of your poems and contact details to [email protected] or by post to the town hall. Coun Edwards-Shea will select in advance which poems will be performed.

The three-round contest, in aid of EDAN Lincs and the RAF Association, sees audience members voting for who goes through to the next round. There will be prizes for the top three and audience members can take part in a free raffle.
