The Time For A Cuppa tea party takes place at the day centre of Ashfield Lodge Care Home in Sleaford on March 8, 1.30-3pm.

The event will help to raise funds for more Admiral Nurses who specialise in dementia. Dementia UK’s mission is to ensure there is an Admiral Nurse for everyone who needs their specialist support.

Staff and residents will be busily baking away in the run-up to the event, and the home’s chef will also be making a cake for attendees to guess the weight.

To lend a celebratory atmosphere to the occasion, there will also be a sing-a long. Anyone is welcome in support of the event, and to see what the Day Care Centre at Ashfield Lodge provides for local sufferers of dementia.

There are currently 162 Admiral Nurses across the country and the charity’s aim is to increase this number to 200 by the end of 2016.
