Caistor WI welcomed Clive Rudd to its February meeting to talk about his time as a volunteer at the Foxglove Covert nature reserve, located on the edge of Catterick Garrison in North Yorkshire.

Members enjoyed listening to an informative and entertaining talk, accompanied by many slides which helped them appreciate both the facilities and the wide variety of flora and fauna existing within the reserve.

The competition for a postage stamp was won by Judith France, with Jean Emary second and Carol Atkins third.

Flower of the month was won by Linda Mason, with Jean Emary second and Joan Wright third.

The next meeting will be in Caistor Town Hall on Thursday, March 3, at 7.30pm, when there will be hand bell ringing with Roger Lord and friends.

New members and visitors are always welcome. Entry is £3.50.
