Cash for Cubria from Rasen Rotary

The Cumbria floods started to wreak havoc just before Market Rasen Rotary Club made its customary collection at the Co-ops in Market Rasen and Caistor, with members deciding to share the money between the Shelter Box Appeal and the flood victims.

The collections raised £350 for each cause, with Rotarians adding other funds from within the club, namely from the environmental and the community committees, to send a total of £1,000 to Cumbria.

In response, district governor Arthur Jones thanked those residents of Market Rasen and Caistor who gave so generously and, of course, the Rotary Club of Market Rasen, which facilitated the donation.

The money will be used to help restore damaged community facilities.
