Marilyn Hawkins welcomed everyone to the February meeting, reminding members to book their place at the upcoming dinner at the Teahouse in the Woods on March 17.

The speaker for the evening was Lorraine Bellis, who gave a very interesting talk on Plants for Pollinators.

She used slides to demonstrate some of the wild specimens and explains which ones attract bees and butterflies the best for pollination.

Plans for the craft day were going well; there are no places left for crochet, but a few still available for card making, beading, painting and drawing.

The craft club will be meeting next at the home of Janet Harrison on March 8 and the annual meeting will be on March 10, with a sales table and a raffle.

The WI meets in Coningsby Community Hall on the second Thursday of each month at 7.15pm and visitors are welcome to go along.
