Do-Re-Me a favour - join in with Singers!

THE Guildhall in Grantham will be alive with the sound of music when the Harrowby Singers take to the stage with their next production.

The Singers will present everyone’s favourite, The Sound of Music, for four nights from Wednesday.

Hum along to songs such as ‘My Favourite Things’, ‘How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria’, ‘Do-Re-Me’, ‘Edelweiss’, and the iconic ‘Climb Ev’ry Mountain’ in the theatre audience.

Young cast members have been putting in the hours to perfect their performances.

Singer Wendy Biggs said: “The children have been working hard each Sunday afternoon and have been learning songs and dances and are raring to go.

“The female chorus have had their work cut out to learn the opening number which takes place in the convent and is all sung in Latin! So another first for Harrowby Singers.

“The show promises the audience a truly wonderful evening of entertainment and a real not to be missed show.”
