The youngsters at Hillcrest Early Years Academy on Heapham Road learned how much fun they can have on four-wheels in the workshops with the Team Rubicon Action Sports School.

Instructors worked with more than 200 children aged seven or under during two days of lessons.

The sessions included how to push, turn and stop correctly, and some more advanced tricks for the adventurous.

Workshop instructor Alex Hill said: “The classes were an opportunity for the children to try something new in a friendly environment with an emphasis on safety.

“Skateboarding promotes healthy, active lifestyles and positive mental attitudes in children—and on top of that everyone had a lot of fun.”
