Enjoy wine for free with meal for two in the Isle

Taken over recently by Matt Lees and Pauline Garner, the Reindeer has exciting new menus on offer.

Tomorrow they stage their first ‘Flash Friday’ themed night with a Spanish flavour, and will feature Spanish food, singers, dancers and a disco until late. Those who join in can, if they wish, can join the chef to stir paella in his giant-sized pan.

The four-course menu will feature choices of cold and hot tapas, traditional and vegetable and herb paella, and caramelised Seville orange cheesecake for dessert, made with clotted cream.

Theme nights will continue in the future with American Diner and Moroccan evenings already planned. These do have to be pre-booked.

Pauline said: “We feel the Reindeer Inn offers something extra-special that emanates from a combination of factors - the warmth of the welcome, the friendliness of staff, the character of the place and of course, the food.”

The inviting venue serves up generous portions of carefully prepared, flavourful cooking. Meal choices include the best of traditional British pub food; chips are hand-cut and pies are home-made. Value for money steak deals continue to be offered at a price of two fillets for £30, and two sirloins for £25. All meals are freshly cooked to order using ingredients that are sourced locally wherever possible.

Diners can enjoy a selection of fish dishes and specials to tempt all palates or a large selection of lunches and snacks comprising meat and cheese platters, ploughman’s lunches, Welsh rarebit, bruschetta, and a fabulous selection of salads, made with homemade dressings that include a dieter’s delight!

Two function rooms are available for weddings, christenings, birthday celebrations and funerals, with hot and cold buffets provided to suit all needs. Seven beautifully appointed rooms with plasma TVs and luxury bathrooms are available to rent, including a plush bridal suite.
