Festive family fun at Gainsborough Uphill Community Centre

Running from 10am to 2pm, this event is packed with Christmas-themed activities to delight children and families alike.

The highlight of the day will be Santa’s Grotto, where children can meet Santa and his elf helper, who will be handing out selection boxes to spread some Christmas joy.

Additional activities for families include:

· Decorating gingerbreads and treat bags, with gingerbreads specially made by our Flare students from Clip.

· Crafting reindeer food and hot chocolate bags.

· Writing letters to Santa and posting them in a magical postbox.

· Playing fun games like Santa Bowling and Christmas Connect Four.

· Colouring Christmas cards and enjoying festive stories in the cozy story corner.

Refreshments will also be provided, ensuring everyone can stay warm and enjoy the festive spirit. Families attending will be asked to sign-in upon arrival.

Mark Purkis, Engagement and Experience Manager, who will be donning the red suit as Santa, said: “I encourage everyone to join us for this special festive event! Whether it’s meeting Santa, decorating gingerbreads, or just soaking in the Christmas spirit, it’s a wonderful opportunity to come together and celebrate the season as a community.”

The team and Clip and Riverside have been working hard to ensure the event has something everyone can enjoy.
