DAMBUSTERS: Kinema to screen special showing of The Dam Busters

Film buffs are being given the opportunity to watch the legendary film The Dam Busters at Woodhall Spa’s Kinema in the Woods.

The Kinema is showing the popular 1955 film on Saturday May 18 to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the famous mission.

This is a second screening which has been organised due to high demand for tickets for the 70th Anniversary Gala Screening organised by Aviation Heritage Lincolnshire on Wednesday May 15.

The film retells the story of the 617 Squadron which was formed and selected to carry out attacks on German dams with a specially designed ‘bouncing bomb’.

After the film has been shown there is the opportunity to enjoy a two course lunch at The Petwood Hotel - which was itself a base for the Dambusters squadron.

Tickets are £6 for the film or £20 for the film and lunch.
