The concert was held at All Saints Church and the first half featured ‘Overture – The Yeomen of the Guard’ by Arthur Sullivan and Four Piece Suite by Richard Rodney Bennett played by Simon Corner and Jonathan Nowell on two grand pianos, after the interval Carmina Burana was performed using the version scored for two pianos and percussion, rather than a full orchestra, in keeping with the composer, Carl Orff’s elemental music concepts.

Soloists from the Royal Northern College of Music also took part in the concert.
