Gainsborough: Shining Jewels at Tinity Arts in Bolshoi Ballet Live
Bolshoi Ballet Live returns to Trinity Arts Centre in Gainsborough this weekend with Jewels being streamed live from Moscow.
With music by Fauré, Stravinsky, and Tchaikovsky, this opulent triptych was inspired by Balanchine’s visit to the famous jeweller Van Cleef & Arpels on New York’s Fifth Avenue.
It celebrates the cities and dance schools of Paris, New York and St Petersburg, each bound to its own precious stone.
A beautiful masterpiece, Jewels is being shown at Trinity Arts on Sunday, November 8 at 3pm.
