The hospice mascot, Barnabas Bear will be cheering on the 12 teams - from Audi, Diane Genders, NMB Minebea UK, Salon Two, Jacksons Buildbase, Cooke and Mason, and Nurses from Lincoln County Hospital - who will battle it out on a giant inflatable obstacle course, filled with bubbles and water.

“After announcing that last year’s ‘It’s a Knockout’ would be our last, we were inundated with requests to host it again this year,” said Becky Otter, Events Manager for St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice.

“I am very glad that we listened to public opinion as we have sold out of all the team places!

“This is a really fun event for the whole family to come and support the hospice and have a great day out.

“When you’re not watching the teams compete you can have a go on our climbing wall, giant slide, bouncy castle and face painting.”

Refreshments will be available throughout the day, with local favourites Eskimoo and Daisy Made on-site.

There will also be a BBQ, with Lincolnshire’s finest sausages and burgers from Elite Meat in the Bailgate.

“It’s a jam packed day of family fun and the children will also be able to try their luck on the inflatable course from 4pm for a donation of £5,” added Becky.

“There’s no need to register in advance, the children can just get involved on the day.

“Come along and cheer on our teams, meet Barnabas Bear and help to make a real difference to the lives of our patients and their families.”

The event is free to watch and more information is available at www.stbarnabashospice.co.uk/knockout16
