As Halloween decorations are packed away for another year (and the last few trick-or-treat sweets mysteriously disappear), it’s officially time to talk Christmas at Marshall’s Yard – especially now that Costa’s festive drinks have made their return!

This year promises an action-packed season of events to bring plenty of sparkle and cheer to Gainsborough, kicking off with the Marshall’s Yard Christmas Lights Switch-On on Friday 14th November, from 4PM-8:30PM.

Hosted by BBC Radio Lincolnshire presenter Sean Dunderdale, the evening will feature a very special guest – Pudsey Bear! The big switch on moment takes place at 7PM, alongside live festive entertainment, children’s fairground rides, and over 30 artisan food and gift stalls. Visitors can meet Santa at Marshall’s Yard’s Santa’s Grotto (£5 per child), raising funds for The Dransfield Foundation, while many stores will be staying open late for early Christmas shopping.

Santa will also be in his Grotto on other select dates throughout November and December continuing to raise money for the Dransfield Foundation (dates can be found on the Marshall’s Yard website).

The Dransfield Foundation, established in 2014, has raised over £200,000 for children, young people, and families disadvantaged by ill health or terminal illness – making every visit to Santa this year even more meaningful.

Festivities continue with a Two-Day Festive Market on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th November (10AM-3PM). Shoppers can explore more than 20 local traders, enjoy live entertainment, free face painting, and delicious festive food stalls – perfect for getting into the spirit and finding thoughtful gifts.

On Friday 6th and 7th December (11AM-2PM) Marshall’s Yard will welcome Santa’s reindeer for a free, magical meet-and-greet located between Next and M&S Foodhall.

And don’t forget Black Friday (28th November) – the perfect time to pick up Christmas gifts for less, with exciting offers in stores across the centre.

With twinkling lights, festive markets and plenty of cheer, Marshall’s Yard is the place to make magical memories this Christmas – right in the heart of Gainsborough.
