Jazz star Gregory Porter ready to make his Theatre Royal debut

Following performances in Broadway hit It Ain’t Nothin’ But the Blues, Brooklyn-based Gregory’s second CD, Be Good, received a Grammy nomination for Best Traditional R&B performance and topped many of the Best of 2012 lists in both the US and UK.

For his latest album, Liquid Spirit, he signed to the legendary Blue Note Recrods label.

The tracks Hey Laura, Liquid Spirit and The In Crowd all received strong airplay in the UK and the album was named Best Vocal Jazz Album at the 2014 Grammy Awards.

He is at the Theatre Royal next Wednesday (10th December) at 7.30pm.
