Rehearsals are on Thursdays at Queen Elizabeth’s High School in Gainsborough, from 7.30pm - 9.15pm.

“New members are always welcome. All you need to bring is a passion for singing,” said choral society publicity secretary Carolyn Walton.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to sing with a prestigious local choir.”

Annual membership is £60, which includes hire of music and tuition under music master Richard Green and accompanist Simon Corner.

Those who remember Joseph Calleja, ‘The Maltese Tenor’ singing with Gainsborough Choral Society at All Saints’ Parish Church back in March, may be interested to see him take the leading role in the BBC’s Last Night of the Proms on Saturday 8th September. The performance will be on BBC Radio 3, BBC Two and BBC One.
