Jolly hockey sticks at Horncastle Getaway event

The Getaway Club brought their summer term to a close with a BBQ put on by Horncastle Lions Club, with the highlight of the evening being a hockey match between St Trinians (the club helpers) and Grange Hill (the Lions, bus drivers et al).

The closely fought match was eventually supposed to have been won 5-1 by St Trinians, although the result is being contested due to gender issues and questionable decisions by the spiv/ref, Bruce Knight from Spilsby Theatre.

The Getaway Club meets every Wednesday at the Community Centre in Manor House Street when young people of all ages with learning difficulties from all over East Lindsey join together for social activities.

The Cub reopens on September 1; for more information contact Jo on 01507 526955.
