Literature at lunch event

NEXT in the ‘Literature at Lunch-time’ series at Grantham’s Guildhall Arts Centre is Gustav Flaubert’s ‘Madame Bovary’.

Presented as always by Dr Jane Mackay, the talk is a must for literature lovers.

As its most basic level, the story is about a bored housewife who puts her desperate longing for romance above her husband, her child and her honour.

The talk begins at noon on Thursday.

Tickets are £5.50 (£5).

To book, pop into the Guildhall box office in St Peter’s Hill, call 01476 406158 or visit www.guildhallartscentre.com
