Louth Choral Society presents: Passiontide — Sacred masterworks for choir and orchestra

This Passiontide, audiences are warmly invited to an evening of profound and uplifting sacred music, performed by full choir and chamber orchestra in the beautiful surroundings of St James’s Church in Louth.
The programme brings together the expressive depth of the Baroque with the luminous serenity of the Romantic era.
Music by Antonio Lotti and Emanuele d'Astorga captures the intensity and contemplation of the Passion season, their richly textured choral writing unfolding with drama and devotion.
In contrast, the radiant harmonies of Gabriel Fauré offer moments of consolation and quiet hope, bringing warmth and light to the evening’s journey.
Performed by Louth Choral Society supported by Lincoln's premier Chamber Orchestra: Lincoln Pro Musica Orchestra ( https://www.lincoln-promusica.org.uk) and Christopher Maltman, world-renowned baritone and President of the Louth Choral Society, this concert promises a powerful and immersive musical experience. Passiontide is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and be moved by some of the most beautiful sacred music ever written.
