ExCo
Nationally acclaimed for performing disco’s greatest hits with more energy than the national grid, gig goers can expect a truly life-affirming, feel-good celebration of timeless dance floor anthems by disco’s biggest icons, including Chic, Sister Sledge, Chaka Khan, Bee Gees, Gloria Gaynor, Diana Ross, Candi Staton and Earth Wind & Fire, all performed 100% live by the incredible seven-piece band fronted by the extraordinary powerhouse lead vocalist Susan Pinky, the personification of a disco diva.
The Gliderdrome date will be Miss Disco's first show back in Boston since they released their debut single ‘One Step (After Another)', which became a hit on the UK Soul Chart Top 30 at the end of last year.
The single’s success led to Miss Disco gracing the front cover of the legendary Blues & Soul magazine and receiving national airplay from the likes of The Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show on BBC 6 Music and Tony Blackburn at BBC Radio 2. Even Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood gave the single a glowing endorsement, describing it on social media as “Fab-u-lous! A disco classic if ever there was one.”
Miss Disco have subsequently enjoyed their busiest year to-date, which included a prestigious date performing alongside disco royalty The Jacksons and Sister Sledge in July in front of 10000 people at the Heritage Live festival at Audley End in Essex.
Bringing the full Saturday Night Fever vibe to Boston, everyone attending Miss Disco’s date at The Gliderdrome on Saturday 13th December is encouraged to dress for maximum disco at what promises to be an unforgettable night on the dance floor.
Susan Pinky said, “We are so excited to be returning the legendary Gliderdrome in Boston to perform disco’s greatest hits for everybody. It’s going to be a proper disco party, so we look forward to seeing everybody on the dance floor - just don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes. You’re going to need them!”
