Model airshow at aviation museum

THE Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre is set to give aircraft enthusiasts a special treat this Easter - when it hosts a Large Model Airshow.

The event is set to run on Saturday, April 7 and Sunday, April 9.

And the amazing models on display at the event are a veritable who’s who of the aviation world - with models of such iconic aircraft as the Lancaster, Wellington and Vulcan bombers, the Comet, a Hawker Hart and B17s among the planes making an appearance.

The Gee Bee racer team, the Dawn Patrol WW1 team and a good selection of World War Two fighters will also be on hand.

“The Large Models Airshow 2012 will showcase the amazing models and flying skills of the LMA,” said a spokesperson.

“This event gives you the chance to see the sight of some of the rarest aircraft in the world taking to the skies - just in miniature.
