The blessing itself will be carried out by the Rev Geoffrey Spencer.

Festivities will then move to Caistor for approximately 8.30pm.

Here, the blessing ceremony will be performed by the Rev Canon Ian Robinson, at the pump in the Market Place, erected to mark Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee in 1897.

Events will then move down the hill to the Salutation Inn at Nettleton for around 9.15pm, where there will be some more dancing, followed by the blessing of a very different type of pump - the beer pump.
