More than 120 singers and instrumentalists will perform musical themes from film and theatre including Titanic, Skyfall, The Bodyguard, Saving Private Ryan and Les Miserables.

Leading the Derby Concert Band is Simon Willis, well known locally from his connections with Thoresby Colliery Band, past bandsmen with the world famous Grimethorpe Colliery Band and a years ago small musical role in the hit film “Brassed Off”.

Simon is increasingly involved in some significant musical engagements in the roles of brass soloist, conductor and arranger.

Chesterfield Philharmonic Choir’s musical director Steven Roberts has an impressive musical pedigree as a conductor, musical director and competition adjudicator.

He combines a career in education with his work as a musician across the UK, Europe and beyond.

The Crossing will open all partitions fully to accommodate the musicians.

A spokesman said “The musical sounds in our full acoustic tonight – one of the best in the area - are going to be absolutely phenomenal”

“Don’t miss it.”

The collaboration are performing at the The Crossing in Newcastle Street, Worksop on Saturday 2nd November at 7.30.

Doors open at 6.45pm.

Tickets are £10, £9 for concessions and £4 for under 16s.
