New season of Music Trains

A new season of Music Trains pulls out of Sleaford tomorrow (Thursday), with '˜foot-tapping' entertainment promised.

Music Trains see a wide range of music acts performing live on the Poacher Line between Sleaford and Wainfleet.

The evenings include a stop at Bateman’s Brewery, in Wainfleet, where refreshments are available.

Tomorrow will see SLAPDASH (South Lincs Appalachian Dance Show) provide the entertainment.

The troupe perform traditional percussive clog dances from the Appalachian mountains of the US.

The dancing will take place at the brewery, with the troupe’s band - comprising two fiddles, a banjo, guitar, and bass - playing on the train.

Scheduled service trains are used for the Music Train events and a normal rail ticket is required for the journey (current train fares apply).
