Notts & Sheffield: Arena dates for Mumford & Sons on new UK tour

After a storming return to the British live scene with a successful set at this year’s Reading Festival, Mumford & Sons have now announced a new UK arena tour for the end of the year.

And they will kick it all off at Nottingham’s Capital FM Arena on November 28, followed, 24 hours later on November 29, by playing the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield.

The tour will come on the back of a highly successful summer for the band which started in the USA in June with a much-acclaimed return to the Bonnaroo Festival in Manchester, Tennessee.

They then returned to Europe for a series of shows at locations including Verona’s ancient Roman amphitheatre, the woodland of Goffertpark in Nijmegen and two nights at Berlin’s Waldbühne amphitheatre in the shadow of the Olympic stadium.

They also performed in Aviemore in Scotland as part of their own Gentlemen Of The Road Stopovers series which was their first full British live performance since the release of their third album, Wilder Mind.

They also played two sold-out dates at LA Forum where they were joined on stage by Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus, The Vaccines, and Jack Garratt on the second night, to perform The Eurythmics’ Sweet Dreams.

Now they are ready to hit the road in the UK again for this latest tour where Jack Garratt will be the support act for the majority of the dates, including both Nottingham and Sheffield.
