Florence & The Machine emerged into the mainstream of British music when they won the Critic’s Choice Award at the 2009 BRIT Awards.

A year later, they picked up what is generally viewed as the top award at the BRITS when their debut album Lungs won the album of the year award.

Their follow-up album, Ceremonials, was also nominated for album of the year in 2012.

Their third critically-acclaimed album, How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, was released this month and topped the UK album chart, selling more than the rest of the top five combined and topping the charts in 24 other countries.
