Notts: The Pierces to play in Nottingham and Sheffield as part of UK tour

The tour takes in 10 cities and includes shows at The Leadmill in Sheffield on Saturday, 20th September and at Nottingham’s Rescue Rooms on Sunday 28th September.

Creation is the follow-up to sisters Allison and Catherine Pierce’s 2011 breakthrough album, You & I.

The Alabama-born siblings now reside in California and the relocation can be heard on their new record.

The album marks a stunning sonic evolution for the duo.

Tracks such as Kings and The Devil Is A Lonely Night match taut grooves to soaring harmonies and there’s a life-affirming glow to the lolloping stomps of Creation (their new single due for release on 1st September), Believe In Me and Honest Man.

Not forgetting folk-pop ballads such as The One I Want and Flesh And Bone blend Laurel Canyon sing-alongs with melancholic reflections

The new UK tour follows three sold out intimate UK shows in June that saw the sisters praised with critical acclaim of their intertwined voices’.
