She will be in the county on August 18 and is the latest big-name artist announced to play live at Market Rasen this summer, following the news that Plan B will headline at the venue on June 1.

With her acclaimed number one album The Architect still riding high in the charts and a BRIT nomination for Best British Female, Paloma Faith will be bringing hits old and new to Lincolnshire.

A Brit award winner in the past, Paloma graced the UK charts in 2009 with her debut album Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful?.

Alongside successive albums Fall to Grace (2012) and A Perfect Contradiction (2014), she has spent more than 50 weeks in the top 10 of the UK album charts.

She returned to the charts in 2017 with The Architect’ following the huge success of her 2014 album, A Perfect Contradiction, which spent 29 weeks in the top 10 on the UK Album Chart, 66 weeks in the top 40, and 100 weeks in the top 200.

The Architecht is currently on course to become her fourth double-platinum album in a row – which would make her the first British woman in chart history to achieve this feat.

Paloma said: “I can’t wait to perform at Market Rasen racecourse this summer for the first time.

“I love summertime and I love outdoor shows so to be able to perform on a – hopefully – sunny evening at the course is something I’m very much looking forward to.”

The Market Rasen show will be Paloma’s second major date in the East Midlands in the space of a month after she was confirmed last month as the headliner of the Splendour Festival in Nottingham in July.

Nadia Powell, general manager at Market Rasen racecourse, added: “Jockey Club Live concerts are now hugely popular and iconic annual events in Lincolnshire – with racing and music fans eagerly anticipating the announcement of our acts.
