Retford: Aladdin to come to the Majestic Theatre

Take a magical journey through the Far East when the tale of Aladdin comes to a Retford stage next year.

The family pantomime comes to the Majestic Theatre in Retford from Saturday 4th January to Tuesday 7th January.

Audiences will join Aladdin, Princess Jasmine and The Genie on their journey in the Far East to defeat the evil Abanazar.

Jamie Marcus productions is bringing the panto to the town in a show which promises to be brimming with well known songs and amazing costumes as it takes children and adults on a spectacular journey through the streets of Agrabah.

The script is bursting with thigh-slapping humour and to top it off audiences will be amazed when they experience the magnificent animated, interactive Genie which talks to them.

Joining The Genie on stage will be the well-loved dame Chris Hayes, in the role of Widow Twankey.

Taking on the role of Aladdin is Phil Atkinson, former Eastenders actor Mark Homer plays Wishee Washee and Holly Wathall is Princess Jasmine.

Playing the evil Abanazar is West End star Chris Howard.

Howard Leader, from BBC Radio Lincolnshire, will play the Emperor of China, while Adam Fox takes on the role of Ping and Luke Haywood as Pong,

The show promises to be a ‘tremendous not be missed spectacle’ for the whole family packed full of pantomime fun and laughter.

Aladdin is coming to the Majestic Theatre in Retford from Saturday 4th January to Tuesday 7th January.

There are various show times including 10am, 2pm, 6.30pm on 4th January and 2pm and 6pm on 5th January.

Tickets are on sale now with prices varying from £9 to £13.50 depending on the date and time of the performance. Family tickets are also available.
