With looks like James Dean, Billy Fury stormed the charts with hit songs like Last Night Was Made For Love, Wondrous Place, Jealousy, I Will, I’d Never Find Another You and Halfway To Paradise.

Four years after his final top 10 hit, I’m Lost Without You, he hired a band from Nottingham and called them Fury’s Tornados.

They remained with him until he died in 1983.

Now 31 years later, those same musicians, Charlie Elston, Chris Raynor, John ‘Raggy’ Raynor and Graham Wyvill, together with acclaimed Billy Fury tribute singer Colin Gold, are touring with Halfway To Paradise to tell Billy Fury’s story.

Their Retford show is next Friday (31st October) at 7.30pm and tickets priced £19 (£18 concessions) are available from the box office on 01777 706866 or online at www.majesticretford.com
