Retford: Dire Straits tribute act Money For Nothing are live at the Majestic

A night of one of the most successful British bands of all time comes to Retford’s Majestic Theatre this week.

Dire Straits sold more than 120 million albums, were Britain’s first major stadium rock band and, in Brothers In Arms, have the fourth best-selling UK album of all time.

Fronted by Mark Knopfler, they are famous for a string of hits, including Sutlans of Swing, Walk of Life, Money For Nothing, Calling Elvis, Lady Writer and many more, as well as albums like Making Movies, Love Over Gold and On Every Street.

Tribute act Money For Nothing, led by the Knopfler soundalike (and play-alike) Aled Williams, have spent many hours studying Dire Straits in action.

The result is a concert that is considered Europe’s premier tribute to one of rock’s biggest names.

Their Retford show is on Friday, November 13 at 7.30pm.
