Retford star to support rock band

Talented Retford musician, Emma Thorpe, is to support rock legends Big Country at Lincoln Drill Hall.

The Scottish rock band will be in Lincoln on Thursday 20th November as part of their Steeltown 30th Anniversary Tour.

And for Emma Thorpe, a singer, songwriter, music promoter and recording studio manager, this will be one of the biggest gigs of her career.

As well as being singer songwriter in Retford group The Listeners, Emma is also manager of The Swanyard Recording Studios, and co-founder of Reverb Project, which promotes live concerts in Retford and helps encourage and develop song writing skills.

Emma will be performing tracks from The Listeners forthcoming album, which is currently being recorded.

Big Country embark on a three month Steeltown 30th Anniversary Tour this Autumn where they will be playing tracks from this classic album, along side many of their aforementioned greatest hits.
