Retford: Top tributes to Kasabian, Muse and Bon Jovi ready to rock the Fake Festival

After a successful sold out tour last year, Fake Festival is returning to Retford Rugby Club this weekend with another rocking line-up.

Once again, the UK’s only touring tribute festival will be stopping off in Bassetlaw as Fake Festivals plays host to an amazing line-up of local support bands and headlining tribute bands.

Tributes to Bon Jovi, Muse and Kasabian will be headlining the main stage, bringing the festival spirit with their uncanny likeness and voices.

Retford is always a great festival, and is increasing in popularity year on year as word is spreading about the fun to be had at a Fake Festivals,” said Jez Lee, owner of Fake Festivals.

“We’re incredibly excited about our show in 2015.”

“We’ve been working tirelessly all year to scout and confirm five super talented local bands to support our debuting tributes and we’re pretty sure you’ll all be blown away with the quality of music we’ll be showcasing.”

Those five in question are The five chosen supports for this year are Pandemic, 5th Pier, Digging For Elvis, Forever Mod and Gaucho.

And after they have suitable warmed the crowd up, it will be time for the main courses, starting with Kasabian tribute Kazabian.

Endorsed by the Leicester band themselves – and their loyal fanbase – Kazabian have performed more than 300 shows.

Some of the band’s highlights include performing alongside Ollie Murs, Pendulum, Ocean Colour Scene, Pigeon Detectives and James.

They also played the main stage at Liverpool’s Mathew Street Festival and were named Best Tribute at TribFest.

Next up are Muse tribute Musest from the Netherlands.

Billed as ‘the world’s number one Muse tribute band’ the group have been going since 2007.

Since that time, they have played gigs all over the world, had many hours of radio and TV time and amassed a large following on YouTube.

Fake Festival is one of four UK shows they are doing this month.

Finally, the evening in Retford is completed by Bon Jovi tribute act, The Bon Jov Experience.

The original tribute to the great Bon Jovi and the world’s only tribute to have been requested by, and to have performed live on stage with, Jon Bon Jovi himself, they are also the only tribute to have been featured on the official Bon Jovi website.

The man himself simply called them “the best tribute I’ve ever seen.”

The Festival takes place on Saturday (4th July) starting at 12.30pm.

Kazabian are on stage from 6.30pm with Musest on at 8.30pm and The Bon Jovi Experience at 10.30pm.

Tickets are £20 for adults, £10 for young adults while a family ticket is £50. Children aged up to nine are free.
