Riverside Festival line up is finally revealed

LOCAL acts will showcase Gainsborough’s top talent on the main stage at next month’s Riverside Festival, and we can now reveal the line-up.

Audiences are in for a real treat at Sandars Yard with a whole day of live music and performance on Saturday 16th June.

“We’ve had a fantastic response from local acts, many who were thrilled to come back after last year,” said organiser Caz Carnell.

First on stage at 12.30pm are Gainsborough rockers Stereoepic who have a lively following of fans.

They are followed by singing sensation Lizzie Goddard, who goes to Queen Elizabeth’s High School.

Then it’s dance group The Studio followed by a selection of local artists who each get a five minute slot between 1.40pm - 2.10pm.

Performing Arts Club of St John’s are next from 2.15pm with a mix of drama and dance.

And after that it’s Zumba time, with a chance for children and grown-ups to join in the dancing.

If indie rock is more your thing, you’ll love Chasing Wilson, a Gainsborough four-piece who write their own material - on at 3.20pm.

Throw in more performances from Antonia Barber, Trent Valley Academy, We Were Infinite, Avalon Doughty and more Stereoepic and you’ve got an amazing afternoon.

The stage closes from 5.30pm to 7pm. But after that The Torn get things going with their popular brand of indie-rock.

Finally, headliners the Bluez Brotherz will work the crowd into a frenzy before the fireworks finale.

“If you’ve seen the Blues Brothers film you will know what a show is in store from these guys,” said Caz.

The Riverside Festival committee want to thank all the volunteers, helpers and sponsors working to make the 11th Gainsborough Riverside Festival a success.
