Robin Hood fun at Church Farm

On June 9 and 10 the Knights of Skirbeck will be presenting their ’Robin Hood Pageant‘.

“The Sheriff of Nottingham will be harassing peasants and searching for Robin Hood,” said a spokesperson.

“It all begins at 11am with panto time! This is a unique version of the Robin Hood story, including a few Monty Python references, and is suitable for all ages.

“This is very silly and ends with the sheriff and his henchmen being chased – and possibly beaten – by children.

“At 2pm there’ll be a tournament. As usual this will not be scripted, so who knows, perhaps the sheriff will win?

“And at 4pm it’s panto time again.”

“There will also be dramatised story telling, archery and other short displays, possibly including surgery at random times,” they added.

All of the regular attractions at The Village will also be open, including the Victorian Kitchen, the Blacksmith’s workshop, the woodturning workshop, Witham Cottage, the 18th century farmhouse and more.

The event will run on both June 9 and 10 from 10am to 4pm each day.

Admission is £3 for adults, £2 for children and parking is free.

Entry will be free for re-enactors & traders including trading pitches and camping.
