Scarecrows are a big attraction at Tetford and Salmonby
The Tetford and Salmonby Scarecrow Festival returned after a short break and attracted big crowds who took advantage of the largely fine weather on Sunday and Monday.
Many households joined in the fun with scarecrows appearing in front gardens and other locations in the two villages.

The festival included a variety of entertainment and craft stalls and was in aid of St Mary’s roof fund, the village school and other clubs and organisations in the community.
There were refreshments in Hamilton Hall and locally produced ice-cream from Dennett’s and Farmer Brown went down particularly well,
Live music and dancing was staged outside the White Hart pub.

They said: “We were staying at a B&B in the area, saw the festival organised and thought we’d go along.
“It was a brilliant day and I hope they raise a lot of money.
“It’s great when communities come together for something like this.”
