soundLINCS has launched a new website as part of its campaign to find 1,500 musicians to celebrate its 15th anniversary.

Over 700 have signed up already but more musicians with a passion for music are being sought.

If you find playing with other musicians enjoyable and inspirational and would like to be a part of an event that will capture the imagination of hundreds of people young and old, soundLINCS wants to hear from you whatever your age, level of experience or music genre.

The event itself is called B15 and is being held on 3rd May at the Epic Centre on the Lincolnshire Showground.

Musicians and singers will perform a piece of music involving 15 different music genres, including Jazz bands, orchestras, rock bands, choral, based on one traditional Lincolnshire song.

The performance will be broadcast online and viewed around the world.

There will also be an attempt to break a mass participation Guinness world record, details of which will be revealed on the new website in the coming weeks.

soundLINCS CEO Nikki-Kate Heyes MBE said: “B15 is a truly unique and exciting project which involves a brand new commissioned piece of music that will embrace the infinite possibilities of music from our distant past, present and into the future.”

“Whether you’re part of a group or make music alone, you can sign up to be a part of what will be a big, bold and amazing performance!”

More information on B15, along with details on how to sign up can be found on the brand new website, www.soundlincs.org, which has been designed by local award winning design company Epix Media.

The site also features resources and information for music practitioners, as well as details of all their other upcoming music workshops and events.

The soundLINCS team are also able to visit interested groups with more information.
