See landspeed record car

EASTER Monday just got even more exciting for Lincolnshire children. On 9th April a full size replica Bloodhound SuperSonic Car will be on show at Lincoln University Engineering School.

The Bloodhound SSC is a land speed record car capable of reaching speeds of up to 1,000 mph.

If you are aged between seven and 13 can take part in a workshop all about the Bloodhound.

Choose from three one-hour sessions during which you will see a short movie about the team.

Organisers are also hoping to bring the full size replica car to the event, having raised over half of their funding from local companies.

Then you will take part in a challenge to build and race a balloon powered vehicle. The builder of the car which travels the furthest will get a prize.

While the children are busy, parents will get a guided tour of the engineering school and refreshments will be available.
