Silver celebrations for Lions Club

The Lions began life on April 12, 1991, and since then have raised more than £370,000 for worthy causes.

The Lions, who now meet at the White Heather Club, Caenby Corner, have raised more than £370,000 for worthy causes.

Past district governor Alan Hall of Glanford and Lindsey Lions Club said: “We are proud to have served the community for 25 years, fulfilling dreams and providing help for many.”

The group is extremely proud to be able to say that every penny they collect goes towards a worthy cause and they hope to continue as a club for another 25 years, continuing to help those less fortunate than themselves.

“We keep reminding ourselves we would not have been able to boast our achievements without the generous support from the public, so it is those that support us that we would like to thank,” said a club spokesman.

Part of the family of Lions clubs, the group is located in an area which covers the districts of North Lincolnshire and West Lindsey, mainly Kirton in Lindsey, Hibaldstow, Redbourne, Waddingham, and Snitterby.

Membership is open to men and women, with regular meetings at the White Heather Club.

The club’s Charity Golf Day is again being held this year at Holme Hall Golf Club.
