The play, by Jacques Offenbach, is set in 1860s Paris, where cosmopolitan gaiety has reached new heights.

The Singers will present Offenbach’s tangled tale of flirtatious masquerading and romantic intrigue involving irresponsible men-about-town, aristocrats in search of a good time and an assortment of flamboyant characters.

This glittering vision of life in Paris makes a marvellous spectacle, with energetic music and plenty of laughs for all.

The aforementioned can-can dancers are sure to get the audience’s toes a-tapping as the famous tunes rattle out.

Musical director is Elaine Bishop and narrator is Martin Grant.

Both shows begin at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £8, available from the box office on 01476 406158 or by visiting www.guildhallartscentre.com
