Slow West film puts a new slant on Western

A new slant on a traditional Western is what you'll get with the screening of Slow West - the latest film to be shown by Louth Film Club.

This UK film will be hitting the big screen at The Playhouse Cinema on Monday, June 6.

Dr Paul Hill, chair of LFC, said: ‘This is a sharp film – but hardly slow.”

It tells the tale of Jay Cavendish (Kodi Smit-McPhee) who goes West to find the woman, Rose Ross (Caren Pistorius), he loves.

At the same time, however, he ends up attracting the attention of an outlaw (Michael Fassbender).

The is just 84 minutes long and is certified as a 15.

Tickets are £4 for LFC members, £6.90 for non-members and £5.50 for concessions.
