South Yorks: Sheffield casino date for award-winning Drifters tribute act

Winners of the 2013 UK Agency Association’s National Tribute Awards as organised by The Agent’s Association (GB), Richie Sampson’s - Drifters Tribute Revue captures the magic of the past and reinvigorates a love for rock and roll classics.

The original Drifters, are legends of the USA’s Atlantic Records label.

Their legacy defined a sound of an era and they became known as one of the most successful and enduring vocal groups of all time.

Performing many of The Drifters’ top hits, such as Under the Boardwalk, Up on the Roof and Kissing in the Back Row of the Movies, Richie Sampson’s Drifters Revue also write and perform their own original songs which are heavily influenced by the original Drifters.

Richie Sampson’s pedigree is secured as he has actually performed with long standing members of the Drifters, Ray and Billy Lewis, Butch Leake as well as Roy Hemmings.

The Drifters will be supported on the night by ‘Diana Ross’ look-a-like Tameka Jackson.

Tameka Jackson is a chart topping entertainer who has performed over the world. She has worked with many well-known celebrities including Jools Holland, The Drifters, Janet Jackson and The Foundations, to name a few.

Her Diana Ross tribute act comes from a deep respect and admiration for the Supremes and Diana Ross.

The show takes place next Saturday (25th April ).
