Spitfire to join Tractor Run at Epworth this Sunday

A Spitfire will fly over an Epworth venue this weekend to celebrate the Isle’s first charity Vintage Tractor Run.

The Spitfire will divert over the Trent following a fly-past at the Lindsey Lodge Hospice, to go over the Mowbray Arms pub and central Epworth at about 3.05pm.

Over 30 vintage tractors from as far away as Huddersfield, Selby and Retford will assemble at the Mowbray Arms from 8.30am, to leave at 10am on a route all around the Isle.

Organisers Geoff Fillingham, Stuart Lindley and Richard Thompson will start the convoy on their 30-mile trip. On their return to the Mowbray arms, there will be a grand raffle with an auction conducted by Andrew Houlden.

All proceeds will go to the Lindsey Lodge Hospice in Scunthorpe.
