A new pub in Crowle will open its doors on Friday March 27 with live music and bingo across the first weekend, including a band seen on ITV’s The Voice.

The Dog and Duck is situated on Seven Lakes holiday park but is open to all, and they hope their combination of great food and drink, outstanding entertainment and friendly service will make it the venue of choice for those in the area.

On the opening Friday, live music will be provided by Maxed Out, a three-piece band who play everything from the 50s and 60s through to recent chart hits, Motown, Beatles and much more besides.

The following evening, Monroe will take to the stage – and they bring with them the experience of appearing on ITV’s The Voice where they were mentored by chart star Anne-Marie.

Monroe have performed world-wide and worked for the BBC, ITV, Apple TV and supported major artists such as Alfie Boe, Jason Donovann and Heather Small.

Among the sounds the three-piece all-female band reflect in their shows are Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Adele and Tina Turner.

The Dog and Duck will then host Cash Bingo from 6.30pm on Sunday March 29.

“We’re really excited to be able to offer such a great line-up of live entertainment for our first weekend,” said Seven Lakes resort director Rod Marlow.

“There will be live shows every weekend from March onwards in The Dog and Duck, with midweek entertainment during school holidays and on bank holidays.

“We’d like to extend a very warm welcome to anyone living nearby who wants a great night out with family and friends.”

Over the last few months, Unity Holidays – owners of Seven Lakes and two other family holiday parks in the UK – have spent millions turning the previous lounge and restaurant into the Dog and Duck, which will serve food and drink throughout the day as well as being the venue for entertainment.

A completely transformed menu will offer everything from traditional Sunday carveries to freshly made, home-cooked pizzas.

The opening of the new Dog and Duck pub and restaurant at Seven Lakes takes place on Friday March 27, and tickets are not required.
