Story of hope and humour at Luddington

Bad Apple Theatre Company will be coming to Luddington Village Hall with their latest production 'The Thankful Village'.

Taking place on Saturday, May 10, the performance tells a story of hope, humour and humanity. Written and directed by Kate Bramley the show also features original music by SONY Radio Academy Award Winner Jez Lowe.

Remembering World War I, which broke out 100 years ago this year, the show explores life away from the trenches, where the women of a rural English community face the prospect of being left to cope, as the men march off to war.

Village hall chairman Sam Baker said: “2014 is a special year as we remember the centenary of the outbreak of the Second World War and the bravery of not only those who served but those who remained at home.

“Knowing how great Bad Apple’s productions are and how well they have been received, we just couldn’t wait to have them perform their new show The Thankful Village. We do hope people join us on Saturday and are sure it will be a great evening of entertainment for everyone.”
