After last year’s sell out production of Anything Goes, students from King Edward VI Grammar School are staging Cole Porter’s greatest work, Kiss Me, Kate, at Louth’s Riverhead Theatre.

This show-within-a-show throws together gun-toting gangsters, sparring actors and romantic entanglements against a backdrop of a touring musical production of The Taming of the Shrew.

Porter’s terrific score is shot through with wit, charm and energy - a real tonic for those dark January evenings - with some of Porter’s greatest songs - So In Love Am I, Too Darn Hot, Brush Up Your Shakespeare , and Another Op’nin, Another Show.

This exuberant show runs from January 26 to January 30, with tickets available from the theatre box office, 01507 600350 or online at www.louthplaygoers.co.uk.
