Sturton by Stow: Mama are bringing the blues over from France
French-based blues band Rag Mama Rag will be jetting over to Sturton by Stow for a gig next month.
Formed in 1991, the English duo of Ashley and Deborah Dow consistently built up their reputation as one of Europe’s finest country blues acts, creating an exceptionally full and hard driving rhythmic sound.
Their repertoire is 1920s and 1930s blues-based, but is also extremely varied, encompassing Mississippi blues, east coast ragtime and early white country tunes.
Their Sturton by Stow gig takes place on 22nd March at 7.30pm.
